Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, the Astronaut Concierge is responsible for providing attentive courteous and efficient service to all astronauts and their guests, from pre-arrival to post-departure. The main focus is to acquire and maintain detailed records of the guest experience to include but not limited to flights, hotels, transportation, dietary requirements, etc. as well as to engage every guest in conversation and recognition, as well as resolve any guest issues immediately. The Concierge is available to answer any guest inquiries regarding the village and it's activities, as well as all Blue Origin Launch Site One areas. The Concierge will provide exceptional Customer Service to all our guests, working also with other departments as neededThe Astronaut Concierge assists and supports Astronaut Experience Team in obtaining guest satisfaction by performing clerical and administrative duties relating to launch and special events.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!This position will be based on site in Kent, WA with up to 50% travel required.Responsibilities:Produce operational working documents, and create/provide departmental updates.Answers telephone and responds to caller inquiries by speaking in a clear and pleasant manner. Exercises decision making skills to direct caller's request(s). Accurately records messages for staff and distributes the written messages to the staff members in a timely manner.Takes all calls and emails for internal meetings and meeting room requests.Handles amenity requests for all VIP clients. Ensures that all arrangements are handled properly, coordinating with other departments frequentlyOrganizes, files and retrieves documents in appropriate binders in order to maintain essential records used in the department's operations.Respond to client calls, special requests and obtain final details, dates, times regarding Launch Day activities. Regularly follow-up with clients, maintain accurate and up to date information.Perform administrative duties such as typing proposals, emails, contracts and correspondence.Resolves requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest. Inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.Promote team work and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Coordinate details with other departments such as VIP amenities, special requests or other service needs.May coordinate outside vendor service needs (catering, displays, audio visual, etc) when needed. Regularly follow-up to ensure set up requirements meet client needs.Conduct property tours.Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them.QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of customer facing and service oriented hospitality experience to include hotel, club, and/or restaurant, or similarExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint abilitiesDemonstrated self-starting personality with a professional demeanor while maintaining a high level of confidentialityProven ability to work simultaneously on multiple projectsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.ITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1157-1158.
