Role Overview
A senior business analyst helps guide business in improving products, services, marketing programs through data analysis. This person will translate complex or ambiguous business problems into analysis requirements, implement analytical approach and drive actionable recommendations to significantly impact the business. Additionally, this person will contribute to analytics projects designed to help drive Coupang's growth, support specific initiatives from Growth Marketing and other business units, and help less senior business analysts with their development.
What You Will Do
- Extract and analyze data using SQL/Python and other languages for intuitive business decision-making.
- Establish decision models using various statistical methodologies.
- Establish simulation/optimization models that reflect business constraints, variables, and decision-making.
- Measure key business indicators and analyze the causes of fluctuations using BI reports.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a data analyst in data extraction and analysis, statistical modeling, and communication.
- 5+ years of experience using SQL.
- Proficient in communication and the ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using BI reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with languages and packages for modeling/statistical analysis (Python, R, etc.)
- Excellent statistical analysis skills
- Experience developing forecasting/trend analysis models
- Ability to create intuitive and easy-to-understand spreadsheets/presentations
- Ability to easily explain and communicate specialized and technical information
- Ability to identify problems with a broad perspective, consider various angles, and derive optimal solutions for customers and internal stakeholders

- In preparation for a job applicant's request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
- The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
