There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation's security. The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a "mega-project" and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

The Role
BAE is looking for an experienced Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer to work within the Sentinel Support Equipment section. As part of a close-knit team, you'll help acquire and integrate support equipment for the next-generation ICBM, collaborating with the government customer and Sentinel Prime Contractor to review and assess design, documentation, and architectures. You'll provide advice to Sentinel leaders and support ICBM Missile Operators, Maintainers, and Security Forces throughout the acquisition cycle, utilizing Earned Value Management, Agile, and MBSE best practices. Strong task management skills are essential to ensure team deadlines are met and engineering work executed effectively.
Who You Are
An experienced Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment. You must possess high energy and be comfortable working with changing priorities. A sample of traits required:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- 7 years (with BS) or 5 years (with MS) directly related experience.
- At least 3 years progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with a background investigation completed < 6 years prior to hiring.
- Must be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) clearance..
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- ICBM training systems, maintenance, or operations experience.
- ICBM Acquisitions experience.
- Professional Engineering License.
- Systems Engineering experience and/or Certification.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- USAF Nuclear topic education.
- Engineering/Agile tools: Cameo, MATLAB, DOORS, JIRA, Confluence.
- Classified government IT systems.
- Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
