The Aviation and Aerospace Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving growth and expanding market share for the company within the aviation and aerospace industry. This position involves developing and implementing strategic business plans, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the company's presence in the aviation and aerospace sector.
Requirements
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential competitors within the aviation and aerospace industry. Analyze customer needs, preferences, and industry demands to inform product and service development. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals in the aviation and aerospace sector. Collaborate with senior management to align business development initiatives with overall corporate objectives. Review and iterate current GoTo market strategy. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including aerospace manufacturers, MLI blanket manufacturers, suppliers, and government agencies. Identify and engage with potential clients to build a robust pipeline of opportunities. Proposal Development: Lead the preparation and submission of compelling proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs). Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals meet client specifications and industry standards. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms, conditions, and contracts with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements. Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure contract compliance and mitigate risks. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, operations, R&D, and finance, to ensure successful project execution and delivery. Provide leadership and guidance to inside sales and customer service teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's footprint in emerging aviation and aerospace verticals. Develop and implement strategies to diversify the company's aerospace portfolio through product development and acquisition. Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and establish a strong network within the aerospace community. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements. Establish Dunmore International as an industry thought leader.
